MINERAL ARMOR is an alternative to traditional floor systems that ends the strip–wax–burnish cycle of acrylic floor finishes. With MINERAL ARMOR, you never have to strip your floors again. Its silicate nanoparticles bond to and penetrate the floor surface, forming a protective shield that maintains gloss, resists slipping, and inhibits scuffing and black marks.
MINERAL ARMOR can be applied to nearly any floor substrate, protecting the surface and enhancing its appearance.

HEALTHY FLOORS
Waxed surfaces are soft. They hold detergent residue in scratches and low spots, and can become slightly sticky as they age, so dirt, skin oils, and detergent residue cling to the surface instead of being removed by cleaning. The same applies to porous grout lines. These biofilms form on the surface—even on hard surfaces such as concrete and terrazzo—and create an environment where microbes can attach and feed.
Growth is fastest where the floor stays damp, or where a thin film of organic material remains after mopping.
Most conventional wax detergents contain the same elements bacteria use as nutrients. Many environmental bacteria have evolved enzymes that break these molecules down and use them as a carbon and energy source.
The same thing happens with leftover soil that the detergent lifts but does not fully rinse away. Detergent film, soil, and moisture together make an excellent low-level growth medium.
MINERAL ARMOR is extremely hard and smooth, so there are few places where microbes can attach. Those that do are encapsulated by the silicon–oxygen bonds in the surface and die. Floors not only look and smell clean—they stay healthier and cleaner.
PROTECTED FLOORS
Mineral Armor forms a strong silicate protective shield by depositing spherical silica particles that coordinate with one another into a continuous three-dimensional mineral network on the floor. Unlike acrylic wax, which is a soft, disorganized organic film with weak spots and catch points, this inorganic framework is organized and rigid, so traffic cannot easily tear, scuff, or hook the surface.
The same dense silicate layer also seals micropores and irregularities, leaving fewer places for soils, oils, and stains to penetrate. The result is a hard, catch-free mineral skin that resists abrasion and staining while remaining part of the floor rather than a sacrificial wax coat that wears away.
SAFER FLOORS
MMINERAL ARMOR penetrates the tiny pores of the floor surface and packs together to form a hard, three-dimensional silica network. Nano-sized silica particles migrate to the surface and form a sparse layer of hard dots. Those particles, and the network they form, create countless tiny peaks. Shoe soles interlock with those peaks instead of sliding across a continuous, polished film. That raises the coefficient of friction and increases slip resistance. MINERAL ARMOR is UL 410 certified as slip-resistant.
SIMPLE TO MAINTAIN
MINERAL ARMOR is easy to maintain with an auto-scrubber and MINERAL ARMOR REJUVENATOR. Each cleaning deposits fresh silica that fills micro-abrasions in the surface, so routine scrubbing maintains the floor and repairs lwear instead of only removing soil. No stripping, waxing, or burnishing is required.
SAVINGS
Take a typical supermarket with about 40,000 sq ft of sales floor, and about 28,000 sq ft actually on the program. On a wax floor that means a strip once a year, a couple of scrub-and-recoats, and a propane burnish every month.
That burnish is only about two hours a pass, so the time is not the problem. The cycle is. Mineral Armor goes on once, then the crew stays on the autoscrubber and refreshes the floor instead of stripping it. Once it is in service, the program runs about 75 percent cheaper than that standard wax cycle, mostly because the strip and recoat labor never comes back.
